Plus This game comes with Co-op campaign you can play with a buddy whitch exceeded my expectations the most challenging part of the game because you have to work together with 4 portals. It had a clever twist wraps up story great, sending weatley out in to space, awesome, Glados letting you go and the turret opera awesome! Want You gone not as amazing as Still Alive but still Awesome. And me personally think this game had the best ending to a game period. this is Valves magic at its best, The story from beginning to end. It was a game i got with the Orange Box and did not expect to like but ended up loving to death. the game is funny as hell, the puzzles make you, think the characters are some of the best in gaming history. This is without a doubt the best game I have ever played in my life. The Xbox 360's lack of antialiasing is readily apparent on the jaggy edges of the painting on the wall. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view.

Note the lack of shadowing on the tables in both the PS3 and PC shots. Zoomed images are pixel to pixel extractions from the original files, with the exception of the PC images, which were shrunk to 1280x720 and then cropped. All images were shrunk down to fit into the rollover images. Stills from the PC version of the game were captured using FRAPs at 1920x1080 with 4xAA/16xAF with maximum quality settings running on a Radeon HD 5830. The PS3 seems to have somewhat better anti-aliasing, but the screenshots arent entirely consistent in that regard. The two console versions look extremely similar in those screenshots, even down to gamma and color balance. Thats because theres really not much in it. The game is seen here running at 50 per cent speed. starchild 3992d ago (Edited 3992d ago ) hay.

The PlayStation 3 enables HDCP, which prevents HDMI image capture. Use the full-screen button for full resolution or hit the link for a larger window. PlayStation 3 images were captured running at 1280x720 over component with an AJA Xena LH. We captured images on the Xbox 360 running at 1280x720 using a Matrox MXO2 Mini over HDMI cables.

The last page shows what Portal 2 looks like with a graphical mod we found in the Steam Forums. The following page briefly goes over some of the differences we found between PC versions of the original game and the sequel. On this page we compare how Portal 2 looks across the consoles and the PC. On a baffling note, the Xbox 360 version of the game features extra shadowing, but at the same time suffers from a lack of antialiasing, and it also seems to be running at a lower overall resolution before it gets upscaled. It also seems to be running at a higher resolution before it gets upscaled. The PlayStation 3 version of the game benefits from antialiasing but loses some shadowing. Through brute speed, the PC version of the game benefits from antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, and access to higher resolutions. On the PC we noticed that the game was missing quite a bit of shadowing, although it did gain when it came to rustling plants and shadows, which neither of the consoles featured. That same line can be applied to the Xbox 360.īy clicking 'enter', you agree to GameSpot's Sometimes the PlayStation 3 gets a few extra features, and sometimes it doesn't. It entertains with great, humorous dialogue, intrigues with compelling puzzles - as a result you keep staring at the screen and forget about the world around you. It interests the player from the beginning and stays like that to its final minutes. Theres said to be possible to play PC vs PS3 players, but PS3 players cant use a KB/Mouse setup. Portal 2 is the best game I had the opportunity to play this year. The battle isn't even clear-cut on the consoles. Anyone getting Portal 2 I really liked Portal, il probally get it on a Steam weekend deal or something. Even with the benefit of access to more powerful hardware, the maximum settings in the PC game jump around in quality, sometimes adding more complexity and other times hopping a few steps back when compared to the console versions. You'd think the PC version would be the best by default, but that doesn't seem to be the case. But if we take a look at the sequel based on its technical graphical merits, we notice that there isn't a clear victor amongst the variants when it comes to graphics. Portal 2 sets the stage with well-made levels, small visual queues, and fantastic audio. And we're pretty certain no one has forgotten about the crudely drawn slices of cake lining some of the walls. The stark white walls and ominously taunting voices have left their mark on more than a few gamers. There's nothing particularly notable about the visual complexity in either of the games, but the settings are instantly memorable. Portal and Portal 2 are classic examples of games where actual gameplay trumps graphics.
